While the RG115/119/120 family serves 50Ω high-power transmission, the RG144 is optimized for 75Ω systems—broadcast, video, instrumentation, and antenna feeds where low capacitance and long-distance signal fidelity matter most. It combines a stranded silver-plated copper clad steel inner conductor, a single silver-plated copper braid, and a fiberglass braided jacket with a PTFE barrier to deliver reliable performance from 0.1 GHz to 3 GHz in extreme heat. At just 208 g/m, it is the lightest cable in the RG115/119/120/144 high-temperature family. Its stranded conductor provides flexibility and tensile strength, while the single braid keeps the cable more pliable than its double-braided 50Ω cousins.
True 75Ω Impedance – Designed for broadcast, video, and 75Ω instrumentation systems.
Low Capacitance: 64 pF/m – Lower than 50Ω cables, ideal for long-distance signal transmission.
3 GHz Maximum Frequency – Optimized for 0.4 GHz to 3 GHz applications.
5000 VRMS Maximum Voltage – High-voltage capability for transmitter and industrial use.
250°C Continuous Operation – Glass fiber braided jacket with PTFE barrier.
Lightweight: 208 g/m – The lightest high-temperature cable in its class.
Stranded Silver-Plated Copper Clad Steel Conductor – Flexible, strong, and efficient at high frequencies.
Single Silver-Plated Copper Braid – Lower weight and greater flexibility than double-braid designs.
MIL-DTL-17 Qualified – M17/62-RG144 reliability for defense and industrial systems.
Fixed Installation Optimized – Designed for permanent, high-temperature routing.

High-Temperature Video Surveillance – Furnace, kiln, and engine monitoring cameras.
Broadcast Transmitters – 75Ω antenna feeds for FM, TV, and DAB systems.
Test & Measurement – 75Ω signal routing in thermal chambers and industrial test benches.
Industrial Instrumentation – Sensor and transducer connections in hot environments.
Aerospace & Defense – 75Ω avionics and video systems in high-temperature zones.
Antenna Systems – 75Ω receive and transmit antennas where low capacitance is beneficial.
The Only 75Ω High-Temperature Cable in Its Class – Most high-temperature coax is 50Ω. The RG144 fills the gap for broadcast, video, and instrumentation systems that require 75Ω impedance and 250°C survival.
Lightweight and Manageable – At 208 g/m, it is significantly lighter than 50Ω high-power cables, making installation and support easier.
Stranded Conductor for Real-World Durability – The copper clad steel core resists vibration and flex fatigue better than solid conductors, while the silver plating keeps high-frequency loss low.
Low Capacitance for Long Runs – 64 pF/m capacitance means less signal degradation over distance in 75Ω systems.
Proven High-Temperature Construction – Glass fiber braid and PTFE barrier provide the same 250°C reliability as the RG115/119/120 family.
Optimized for 0.4–3 GHz – Ideal for broadcast transmitters, high-temperature video, and RF instrumentation.
MIL-DTL-17 Compliance – Manufactured to M17/62-RG144 for defense, aerospace, and industrial reliability.
Q: Can I use RG144 in a 50Ω system?
A: No. The RG144 is a 75Ω cable. Using it in a 50Ω system will cause impedance mismatch, high VSWR, and potential damage to transmitters. Always match cable impedance to your system.
Q: Why is the inner conductor stranded instead of solid?
A: Stranding improves flexibility and resistance to vibration and flex fatigue. The copper clad steel core provides high tensile strength, while the silver-plated copper outer layer ensures low high-frequency loss.
Q: Can this cable be bent?
A: The RG144 is designed for fixed installations. It is stiffer than flexible jumpers but lighter than 50Ω high-power cables. Provide generous bend radii and avoid repeated flexing.
Q: Is the RG144 suitable for outdoor use?
A: The glass fiber jacket provides high-temperature and moderate weather resistance. For direct burial or extreme outdoor exposure, consider additional protection or our armored RG120.
Q: What connectors are available?
A: We offer custom 75Ω connector assemblies (BNC, F, N, etc.) sized for the 10.4 mm jacket. Contact us for assembly options.
