Q xxxx SBQ TPC 1-4 Core 600V Tinned Copper Instrumentation Cable with ETFE Jacket
Product Description

The Q xxxx SBQ TPC Series is a high-performance line of 600V multi-core instrumentation cable engineered for extreme environments. It features a robust construction with extruded ETFE insulation andjacket, providing superior mechanical toughness and chemical resistance compared to standard FEP jackets. A braided tinned copper shield ensures excellent protection against electromagnetic interference (EMI) and enhances corrosion resistance.

The series offers versatile configurations to meet various signal and power needs: the SBQ1 (single core) for general power; the SBQ2 (twisted pair) for noise-critical differential signaling; the SBQ3 (twisted triple) for 3-wire sensor applications; and the SBQ4 (twisted quad) for compact, high-density multi-signal transmission.

Manufactured to the dimensional and electrical requirements of SAE-AS22759 and NEMA-WC27500, this cable operates reliably from -90°C to +155°C, making it an ideal choice for aerospace, defense, and heavy industrial applications.

Key Features
  • 600V AC Rating - Rated for 600 Volts AC, suitable for main power distribution and high-voltage control circuits.
  • ETFE Insulation & Jacket - Both the primary insulation and outer jacket are made of extruded ETFE, offering exceptional cut-through resistance, chemical inertness, and durability in harsh environments.
  • Tinned Copper Shielding - The braided tinned copper shield provides superior EMI/RFI protection and solderability, ensuring signal integrity in electrically noisy environments.
  • Wide Temperature Range - Operates reliably from -90°C to +155°C, suitable for both cryogenic and high-heat applications.
  • Manufactured to Standards - Produced according to the specifications of SAE-AS22759 and NEMA-WC27500, ensuring consistent quality and dimensional accuracy.
  • Standard Color Coding - Available in a wide range of standard colors (black, brown, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, grey, white) for easy circuit identification.

Applications

Marine & Shipbuilding - Reliable for shipboard power and navigation systems. The tinned conductors and shield prevent corrosion from saltwater exposure, ensuring long-term reliability.

Automotive Testing - Used in test benches and high-temp engine zones. The instrumentation cable maintains flexibility and insulation resistance even when exposed to engine heat and automotive fluids.

Aerospace & Defense - Ideal for airframe wiring and avionics. The ETFE jacket offers high tensile strength and resistance to hydraulic fluids, while the tinned copper shield ensures signal integrity in radar and communication systems.

Industrial Robotics - Perfect for robotic arms and CNC machinery. The cable withstands continuous flexing and torsion, while the shielding protects sensitive logic circuits from the electrical noise generated by servo motors.

Oil & Gas - Suitable for downhole instrumentation and refinery controls. The ETFE construction resists corrosive chemicals, acids, and high temperatures found in drilling and processing environments.

Railway Systems - Used in train control systems and signaling. The robust jacket resists abrasion from ballast, and the 600V rating handles traction power distribution safely.

FAQ

Q: What are the insulation and jacket materials?
A: Both the primary insulation and the outer jacket are made of extruded ETFE (Ethylene Tetrafluoroethylene). This "dual ETFE" construction offers superior mechanical strength compared to FEP jackets.

Q: Why is the shield "Tinned Copper"?
A: Tinned copper provides better corrosion resistance than bare copper, which is critical for marine or humid environments. It also significantly improves solderability for easier termination.

Q: What is the temperature range for this instrumentation cable?
A: The cable is rated for continuous operation from -90°C to +155°C.

Q: What is the Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ)?
A: Our standard MOQ for stock items is typically 10 meters. For custom core counts, colors or print legends, a higher MOQ applies to cover setup costs.

Q: How is the instrumentation cable packaged for shipping?
A: To prevent tangling, standard lengths are supplied on reusable wooden reels or sturdy cartons. Smaller cut lengths are bundled and boxed.

Q: Do you offer samples for testing?
A: Yes, we can provide samples for your engineering team to verify the flexibility, solderability, and fit before mass production.
