0.047" Semi-Rigid Coaxial Cable SR-047-TP 50 Ohm RF Cable with Tinned Copper Shield
Product Description

SR-047-TP is a 0.047" 50-ohm semi-rigid coaxial cable featuring a tinned copper outer conductor for reliable performance in high-frequency RF and microwave applications requiring compact size and cost-effective construction. The tinned copper finish provides excellent solderability, corrosion resistance, and good electrical performance up to 18 GHz, while maintaining the same precise mechanical dimensions and bend characteristics as other 0.047" semi-rigid cables. This makes SR-047-TP ideal for telecom infrastructure, medical RF systems, automotive radar, aerospace and defense where consistent manufacturability and field reliability matter most.

Key Features
  • Tinned copper outer conductor – Excellent solderability to connectors/housings, good corrosion resistance
  • 0.047" (1.19mm) precise diameter – Minimum bend radius (0.050"), fits tightest RF layouts
  • 50-ohm ±1.5Ω impedance control – Typical VSWR <1.25:1 from DC to 12.4 GHz
  • Solid SCCS center conductor – Silver-plated copper-clad steel for low loss, high strength
  • PTFE dielectric – 70% velocity of propagation, -55°C to +150°C operation
  • Low Attenuation – 3.7 dB/m @ 10 GHz, 5.1 dB/m @ 18 GHz typical
  • RoHS compliant materials – Meets global environmental standards
  • OEM/ODM ready – Low MOQ, custom lengths, pre-formed assemblies from CAD

FAQ

Q: How does tinned copper (TP) compare to silver-plated (SP) outer conductor?

A: Tinned copper offers excellent solderability and cost advantages with good performance to 18 GHz. Silver-plated provides 15-25% lower loss above 10 GHz due to better skin effect, but TP is preferred for production volumes and field reliability.

Q: What's the maximum recommended frequency for SR-047-TP?

A: Rated to 18 GHz continuous operation with VSWR <1.3:1 typical. Attenuation is 5.1 dB/m at 18 GHz. Many customers use to 26.5 GHz for test fixtures with acceptable performance.

Q: Can you provide custom pre-formed semi-rigid coaxial cable assemblies?

A: Yes, we manufacture pre-formed assemblies from your 2D/3D CAD files. Minimum bend radius 0.05". Typical lead time 5-7 days from drawing approval with full test data (VSWR/IL plots).

Q: What are your MOQ and lead times for production?

A: Low MOQ starts at 10 assemblies for custom work. Stock straight lengths ship same/next day. Production 100+ pcs typically 2-3 weeks. Volume discounts available.

Q: Are connectors pre-installed or field solderable?

A: Both options. We offer fully assembled cables with SMA/2.92mm/2.4mm connectors (VSWR tested) or raw cable lengths for field termination.

Q: What's included with each assembly?

A: Every semi-rigid coaxial cable ships with individual test report: VSWR plot (full band), insertion loss verification, length certification. Custom phase matching and environmental testing available.
