Custom Cable Manufacturing Based on Customer Drawing (OEM Project)

1. Project Challenge and Technical Requirements

A customer approached us with a requirement for a non-standard cable based entirely on their own design drawings. The project involved specific requirements for conductor structure, insulation material, shielding configuration, and overall cable dimensions.

Standard market products could not meet these combined requirements, particularly in terms of dimensional constraints and material performance. The cable needed to fit within a limited installation space while maintaining stable electrical characteristics during operation. In addition, the customer required not only prototype development, but also the ability to transition into consistent batch production once the design was verified.

2. Customized Solution Development and Process Optimization

Based on the provided drawings and technical specifications, a customized cable structure was developed and reviewed in detail.

Conductor type, plating method, and construction were selected according to the required electrical performance. Insulation materials, including fluoropolymers where applicable, were chosen to meet temperature resistance and dielectric stability requirements. The cable structure was further optimized to achieve the specified dimensions while ensuring manufacturability and process consistency.

Sample production was carried out for validation. During this stage, adjustments were made to fine-tune the structure and ensure compatibility with the customer’s equipment. Once the design was confirmed, the production process was standardized to support stable and repeatable manufacturing.

3. Final Performance and Production Outcome

The final cable solution met the specified electrical, mechanical, and dimensional requirements and was successfully integrated into the customer’s equipment.

Following successful validation, the project moved into batch production with consistent quality across multiple orders. The manufacturing process ensured repeatability in both performance and structure, meeting the customer’s expectations for long-term supply.
