The AFR-E SPC is a PTFE equipment wire built for applications that demand flexibility, high temperature resistance, and reliable performance. The conductor uses extra flexible stranded electrolytic silver plated annealed copper, delivering excellent conductivity and flexibility for wiring that must bend, route, or vibrate in service. Insulation is wrapped and sintered PTFE tape, providing continuous operation from -90°C to +200°C with outstanding chemical resistance and low smoke properties.
This hook-up wire is available in AWG sizes 26 through 15, with 10 standard colors for circuit identification. The extra flexible stranding—up to 504 strands of 0.070mm copper for 15 AWG—makes this PTFE lead wire suitable for avionics harnesses, test fixture wiring, and instrumentation where solid or 7-strand wire would fatigue and fail.
600V AC voltage rating suits avionics, test equipment, and industrial control applications. Standard packaging on reels. Custom constructions—including other AWG sizes, conductor materials, or insulation types—available for OEM applications.
Extra flexible stranded conductor – Electrolytic silver plated annealed copper. Fine strand count (33 to 504 strands) delivers high flexibility and corrosion resistance.
PTFE insulation – Withstands -90°C to +200°C, resists chemicals, and maintains low outgassing.
600V AC voltage rating – Suitable for avionics, test equipment, and industrial instrumentation.
10 standard colors – Black, brown, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, grey, white for easy circuit identification.
AWG 26 to 15 – Wide gauge range from 26 AWG (33 strands) to 15 AWG (504 strands).
Wrapped PTFE construction – Provides consistent wall thickness and better flexibility than extruded PTFE.
Custom construction available – Other AWG sizes, conductor materials, or insulation types on request.

Aerospace & avionics harnesses – PTFE insulation withstands altitude extremes and resists jet fuel, hydraulic fluids, and deicing chemicals. Extra flexible stranding prevents fatigue failure in vibration-prone aircraft wiring.
Defense & field test equipment – Portable diagnostic gear requires hook-up wire that coils easily and survives repeated handling. Silver plated conductor maintains solderability after storage.
Automotive test cells – Engine and transmission dyno environments expose wiring to oil mist, heat, and frequent reconnection. PTFE insulation resists lubricants; extra flexible strands survive repeated bending.
Laboratory analytical instruments – Low outgassing PTFE suits mass spectrometers and vacuum chambers where contamination affects measurement accuracy.
Industrial automation controls – 600V rating matches panel wiring requirements. 10 color options simplify circuit tracing in control cabinets.
Oil & gas surface equipment – PTFE insulation resists drilling fluids and harsh chemicals. Wide temperature range suits outdoor and desert environments.
Q: What is the difference between AFR-E SPC PTFE equipment wire and standard PTFE hook-up wire?
A: AFR-E SPC uses extra flexible stranding (33 to 504 strands) versus typical 7 or 19 strands. This delivers much higher flexibility for applications with vibration, repeated bending, or tight routing. The tape-wrapped PTFE insulation also provides better flexibility than extruded PTFE.
Q: What is the temperature range of this PTFE wire?
A: Continuous operation from -90°C to +200°C. The wrapped and sintered PTFE construction maintains flexibility at low temperatures and resists flow at high temperatures.
Q: What colors are available?
A: Black, brown, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, grey, white. Custom colors available on request for volume orders.
Q: What is the voltage rating?
A: 600V AC, suitable for avionics, test equipment, and industrial control applications.
Q: Are you a manufacturer or a trading company?
A: We are a direct manufacturer of PTFE insulated wires and cables, based in Shanghai, serving aerospace, defense, medical, and industrial markets since 2005.
Q: Can I get a sample before placing a production order?
A: Yes. Sample lengths are available upon request. A nominal fee may apply, deductible from your first bulk order.
Q: What is the lead time for custom orders?
A: Standard colors and AWG sizes in stock ship within 7 business days. Custom colors or non-standard constructions typically require 10-15 working days after order confirmation.
